My new ride
I have a very odd situation right now. I had to come to visit a customer in Toronto Canada today. My office looked into a plane ticket and they wanted $1600 roundtrip from BWI. That's ridiculous. I decided to rent a car to drive up. Much cheaper.

For $5 a day more, the rental company was willing to give me a hybrid. This is the first hybrid I've ever driven, so it is a cool thing. I love this car. It has no power whatsoever, but it get 43 MPG on the highway! What's more, it did that with me averaging 75 MPH coming up here with the air conditioner on full tilt. This is saving us way more than $5 per day.

The strange thing is the way the motor shuts off when you're at a traffic light. The minute you take your foot off the brake, it comes back on and it ready for you to press the gas. The takes a bit of getting used to. I'm not sure I like the feeling of not being in control of the engine.

It really has a nice stereo too. I burned a bunch of CD's, but I really didn't need them. There's a jack on the stereo where I can plug the mp3 player into. I listened to that most of the way until the GPS started getting low on power. Than I had to plug that thing in.

The GPS surprised me. The instant I crossed the bridge into Canada, it asked me if I wanted to switch over to the Canadian satellites. How does it know these things? So far, it has been pretty accurate up here. I've haven't gotten too lost yet.

I'll probably be up here for the majority of the week. Gina and the kids are going to Mexico on Thursday, so I doubt I'll get to see them before I get back. :( Still, stranger things have happenned. Let's keep our hopes up.
As for the Honda,I think I'm going to keep it. I really like it.
And all the girlies say I'm pretty fly
