Well, I guess I've moved up in the world to starting my own vanity site. Why, you ask? There's a few reasons. First, myspace is nice but it doesn't give me the flexibility to add links, insert photos, etc. I've had a lot of people tell me they like to see pictures of where I'm going, so this will make that possible.
Second, my wife, Gina, has a problem with her office. They have something she affectionately calls the 'porn patrol'. It's a software program which filters out dirty websites like www.myspace.com. Anyway, hopefully she'll be able to read this web site at her office

I know, I swore I'd never start a blog. Well, I'm giving in. Here's why. I've had a number of requests for my travelling information. To be honest, I'm a little tired of adding names to my e-mail list without knowing if any of you really care about where I've been or not. It's just easier to start a blog and anyone who wants to read it, can read it.

For those who don't know me, I work for a company that makes construction equipment. We send it all over the world and I go to install / repair it. That means I travel *ALL THE TIME*. I've had some pretty neat adventures, too. I escaped hurricane Francis by hours. (Missed my flight and drove from Florida to PA). I was on the London Underground a few weeks before the bombings. I've even had soldiers point guns at me in a 3rd world country.

People always ask how my family feels about this. Well, I've been married since May 2004 to (tah dah) A TRAVEL AGENT! She loves it! We get to go on all kinds of cool trips and see some really neat stuff. (On our honeymoon, we got to pet Crocodiles in Jamaica)

I love my job. I get to interact with interesting people from numerous cultures. I get to practice speaking different languages. I get to see some amazing things. To date, I've only had two experiences that I can honestly say moved me and changed me to a slight degree. The first was standing on top of the Rockies and looking over the valley.
